King Arthur was Champion of the 2000 Trakehner
stallion grading and achieved a stallion performance
testing score of 130.36. In 2003, King Arthur
was also honored as the Champion of the Danish
Warmblood Licensing. He was the winner of a very
strong class of 6 year olds at the Bundeschampionate
Qualifier in Wedel, with an impressive score of
9.0.
Petra Wilm, president of the German Trakehner
society, purchased King Arthur at auction for
150,000 euro. King Arthur was in the ribbons at
Prix St. Georges and Intermediare I. At the "Oldenburg
Pferdetage", he was placed 3rd in the Intermediare
I. There is no doubt that King Arthur´s
tremendous willingness to perform as well as his
overall attitude and aplomb will put him and his
offspring into the limelight again and again.
King Arthur is by Buddenbrock, who boasts a long
list of approved sons with Champion Stallions
among them. His dam line traces back to the famous
K-family originally bred by the Count Dohna-Schlobitten.
King Arthur's progeny are doing extremely well.
3 of his sons were approved in 2005, with Kilimandscharo
becoming Premium Stallion at the Oldenburg grading.
His daughters have excelled in mare performance
tests, and several have been awarded Premium and
State Premium titles.
His offspring in competition
have also been a credit to him by winning and
being placed in many classes. His foals are demonstrating
their quality with first placings at the foal
championship held at Tasdorf.
